Avengers: Under Siege

by Josh Crawley

It’s that time of the month where I flip through marvel Previews and tell you about some comics and graphic novels that look pretty swell.

Avengers: Under Siege Premiere hard cover Variant Edition
I’ve heard terrific things about this story but never had a good opportunity to read it; until now! (Not to be confused with the recent Siege event nor the Steven Seagal movie!)

Fantastic four in Ataque Del MODOK

Fantastic four in… ¡Ataque Del M.O.D.O.K.! #1
Spanish
English
I actually have yet to read the two comics (Fantastic Four: ¡Isla De La Muerte! and Spider-Man & The Human Torch In… Bahia de los Muertos!) prior to this that have been drawn by Juan Doe and had Spanish language alternate versions, but it won’t stop me from purchasing both versions of this book!

Ghost Rider by Jason Aaron Omnibus

Danny Ketch: Addict sets up the blue-flamed Ketch for his reintroduction in this book, the ideal time to continue my Ghost Rider education!

Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch classic Vol. 2

Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch classic volume 2 soft cover
Wow, it’s like we’re getting a celebration of Danny Ketch! They (yes, the notorious They!) tell me volume 1 is still available!

Hawkeye & Mockingbird

Hawkeye & Mockingbird #1
Variant
If Jim McCann & David Lopez’s work on new Avengers: The reunion is any indication of how terrific this book is going to be, it’ll be amazing! fans of the West coast Avengers ought to certainly check out this book!

Hulk #23

Hulk #23
I’ll believe this comic has the origin of the Red Hulk after I read it. until then, I consider it merely a rumor.

New Mutants #14

New Mutants #14
I really don’t have an Adi Granov cover quotient every month. Rogue and hope look pretty badass, don’t they?

Secret Warriors #17

Secret Warriors #17
I really like how Jim Cheung did Captain America’s helmet here. It also looks like maybe Bucky is going to be on the next, interlocking cover?

Young Allies

Young Allies #1
I don’t know where Toro is from (I inspected Wikipedia, which tells me Franklin Richards’ Counter-Earth, but Firestar, Gravity,  Araña, and Nomad?! looks like I ought to do a little reading up! For a terrific idea of some of these character and developer interactions, you can see Araña teaming with Nomad in recent Captain America back-ups by Sean McKeever and David Baldeon.

Age of Heroes #2

Age of Heroes #2
I get the feeling picking this up might not be a bad idea if you’re getting young Allies #1. It has what I assume is a new McKeever-penned and Baldeon-drawn Gravity story. The Takeshi Miyazawa cover doesn’t hurt the eyes, either!
